Missed Flight!

26 July 2008; 1523hrs New York, New York (USA)

I bloody missed my flight out of New York! Damn! So pissed off. I checked in early. But they changed their gate the last minute and I didn’t notice. Was wondering why they didn’t call me. And when I checked at 1245, I was informed that the plane had left! Oh come on! 5 minutes before the scheduled time? They changed both the gate and departure time! Where got leave early one? 15 minutes early some more. And the change in departure time wasn't even reflected on the boarding pass...

Went to ask what I could do. And they treated like it was all my fault. Why ah? Had to spend another S$1000 dollars to secure a flight out of JFK to Bozeman, Montana tomorrow morning.

Sigh... money’s flying away like that. I cannot like my mother know this. She’ll be so worried. That means I won’t be messaging her tonight to say I’m safe in the dormitory.

Stupid airport. One gate can have so many planes at the same time. No wonder so confusing. And then sudden change also never announce loudly. Wonder how the other passengers came to know about the change.

Now I have another long wait at JFK. I definitely don’t want to spend money at a hotel given that I’ve spent so much for the second flight. Penalty they call it. Damn you Delta!

So it’s another wait at T4 tonight. I’ll have to make sure I wake up early tomorrow morning, and leave this place by 0500hrs to check in and station myself at the gate at 0600hrs. Wait directly in front for my 0700hrs flight.

Damn!

And my checked-in luggage will be in Montana tonight. I hope they manage to store it properly for me to collect...

Argh...
